The city of cities, The Big Apple, yes, dear children have many names, it is said, and New York is truly loved. Many often return because there are always new things to experience. Here the whole world is gathered in a single city, roaring, dizzying, glorious, overwhelming, paraphrased, staged, yes, really just absolutely amazing. On a trip to New York, there is something for everyone, young and old, cultural or entertainment-oriented, food or art interest. The choice is yours. The vibrant city that never sleeps offers lots of experiences and impressions and for those who like shopping, there are countless outlets and interesting shops. Our trip includes the major sights and you also get time for your own adventures and shopping.
Day 1: Travel to the United States
Flight to New York with arrival in the afternoon local time the same day. New York is the most populous city in the United States and consists of five districts of which Manhattan is the most famous, the other four are Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. Transfer to our Manhattan hotel. Overnight in New York. Meals are included on board the long-haul flight.
Day 2: City tour by bus
After breakfast we start our adventure in the fantastic New York. We start with a visit to Ground Zero or as it is now called Nine Eleven Memorial Park to remember September 11, 2001. During a walk in China Town, it almost feels like being in Beijing. New York City is a melting pot of cultures and nationalities. We continue through Little Italy to Wall Street where the Federal Hall National Memorial, the New York Stock Exchange, Trinity Church and The old Bank of Manhattan are located. In Greenwich Village we see a living part of the city where musicians, writers and bohemians left their mark and in SOHO you are amazed by the exclusive shopping districts. We pass the UN building before taking a walk in Central Park, which is the country’s most visited park. Overnight in New York.
Day 3: City tour on foot
Today awaits us a tour on foot to Times Square which is sometimes called “the center of the universe” or “the world’s crossroads”. Theaters and the entertainment industry are crowded here, at night the whole area is lit up by thousands of neon signs. It is also one of the world’s busiest pedestrian crossings. We then proceed to the Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building where we go up to the main platform to enjoy the view of the city. Overnight in New York.
Day 4: Liberty Island & Statue of Liberty
No trip to New York is complete without seeing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We do a boat trip from Manhattan to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. We land on Ellis Island to learn more about the millions of immigrants who landed here between 1892 and 1954. It’s exciting to see the Manhattan skyline from the islands and get a new perspective on the city’s skyscrapers. The afternoon is free for your own walks and shopping. Overnight in New York.
Day 5: Own adventures
The whole day is free for your own dust trains and adventures. In New York, there is something for everyone. It’s great to just stroll around and let yourself be immersed in the atmosphere. Here are some of the world’s best museums for the art lover, such as the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Modern Art or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But if you would rather immerse yourself in sports, shipping, Chinese history, space shuttles, design or Jewish culture? Don’t worry, there’s a museum for you too! Perhaps the best place to rest tired feet and be entertained by spectacular people is Manhattan’s lung, Central Park, with its 3 square kilometers of area. Shopping is also a popular pastime in “The Big Apple”. You can find everything from upscale branded goods on 5th Avenue or in the Macy’s department store, to cheap watches, bags and jewelry on Canal Street. Or why not visit one of the many theaters located in Times Square? If you get tired of Manhattan, you can take the subway to Brooklyn to visit the DUMBO area that stands for Down under the Manhattan bridge overpass. It is full of small shops and cozy cafes and the view of Manhattan is perfect! Overnight in New York.
